Diyala Medicine holds a scientific symposium entitled (Diagnosis of thyroid diseases through surgical biopsy Cytology)

Under the sponsorship of the Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Diyala, Professor Dr. Ismail Ibrahim Latif, the Continuing Education Division held a scientific symposium entitled (Diagnosis of Thyroid Diseases Through Surgical Biopsy Cytology) and was moderated by the teacher, Dr. Dhari Abbas Fadel, Diseases Branch.
The symposium aimed to explain the types of diseases that affect the thyroid gland, including benign and malignant, and the method of diagnosing them clinically, laboratory, and radiological examinations.
It showed the importance, speed, efficiency and low cost of cytological examination of cells obtained from the body for the purposes of rapid and correct diagnosis in determining the type of disease or tumor in order to adopt the healthy method of treatment and reduce side effects on the patient.
