Diyala Medicine holds a scientific symposium on the problems of cesarean section
The College of Medicine at University of Diyala held a scientific symposium on the problems of caesarean section, in which Dr. Raghad Kamel Saadi lectured in the continuing education hall. The symposium dealt with these problems due to the increase in deliveries by cesarean section and the avoidance or fear of natural births and its impact on the future of the mother on the one hand, as the percentage of wound infections, endometriosis, problems of uterine bleeding, problems of anesthesia, pulmonary thrombosis, and the admission of premature babies as well increases from a psychological point of view. The symposium stressed that either after a natural birth, the child is near the mother, while after a cesarean section, the child is far from the mother until the condition of the mother and the child stabilizes and that the most common reasons for pregnant women resorting to caesarean section is fear of pain, uterine contractions, previous caesarean deliveries, obesity, high blood pressure diseases, and emergency cases.
