College of Medicine- University of Diyala holds a scientific symposium on the Academics Syndicate Law and its effective role
Under the sponsorship of the Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Diyala, Professor Dr. Ismail Ibrahim Latif, and in the presence of the representer of the Syndicate in Diyala, Assistant Professor Dr. Oday Karim Rahman, the Quality Assurance Division held the scientific symposium entitled (The Academics Syndicate Law and its Effective Role). The symposium was moderated by Lecturer. Manar Abdel Razzaq Hassan, head of the Quality Assurance Division. The symposium aimed to define the laws of the Academics Syndicate, its importance and its sections, and that the Syndicate has an independent legal personality to which all academics affiliated with higher education and scientific research in Iraqi colleges and institutes belong. The symposium highlighted the role of Syndicate in defending the legal rights of teachers and its great importance for advancing the higher education profession so that its outputs serve this scientific edifice and society. At the conclusion of the symposium, a presentation was made on how to officially belong to the Syndicate and how important it is to the university and college, and to teachers in particular, and to facilitate the task of defending their legitimate rights. After the discussions and inquiries, the representative of the Syndicate’s branch at Diyala University answered all the questions and how to develop health solutions. Finally, he said, despite the challenges facing us now, the Syndicate continues its diligent work in order to serve Iraqi academics.
