Training Course about (Cerebral Palsy in Children)
Under the auspices of the Dean of the college of Medicine, University of Diyala, Prof. Dr. Ismail Ibrahim Latif, the continuing education division organized a training course on the (Cerebral Palsy in Children), presented by Professor Dr. Jalil Ibrahim Al-Ezzi, vice dean for scientific affairs, and Professor Dr. Najdat Shukur Mahmood in department of Pediatrics
The course started with defining and explanation the early stages of the disease, including a mother who was exposed to premature birth, because of which her newborn suffers from cerebral palsy syndrome because of lack of oxygen. This syndrome is caused by abnormal development or damage to the parts of the brain that control movement, balance, and posture, the problems occur during pregnancy, but they may also occur during childbirth or shortly after birth, which in turn affects the motor development and coordination and continues with them for life to varying degrees and different forms and considered as one of the most common causes of motor disability.
