University of Diyala/ College of Medicine holds a training course entitled (First Aid for Children in Emergency)
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Ismail Ibrahim Latif, the Continuing Education Division held the training course entitled (First Aid for Children in Emergency), in which lectured by the Assistant Lecturer Saif Hakim Tawfiq, who is lecturer in the Department of Paediatric. The course included what first aid is for children, its importance, and how to deal with emergency cases before and after entering the emergency room and being received by the medical and nursing staff in the emergency room. It also explained how to deal with all emergency cases, the most important of which, to which children may be exposed, such as nervous seizures and blood acidification in children. Those who suffer from diabetes, severe dehydration, and severe asthma attacks. In conclusion, it recommends the necessity of maintaining blood sugar levels for children, and organizing medical appointments to ensure good control of diabetes and other symptoms, and to avoid complications in the future.
