The College of Medicine holds a scientific symposium entitled (Educational Objectives)
The Medical Education Division held a scientific symposium under the title (Educational Objectives), delivered by Professor Dr. Shukr Mahmoud Yassin, Lecturer Dr. Haider Mahdi Eidan, and Assistant Lecturer Reem Ali. The symposium included the definition of Educational Objectives and the benefits resulting from learning, as they direct the activities of the teacher and the learner, as well as identifying the subject of educational objectives at their various levels, components and main fields, as they are considered a basic requirement for everyone who practices the teaching profession at any of its various stages. The concept of objectives provides a practical approach to improving the teaching and learning programme, i.e. An interactive process in which experiences, knowledge, and information are transferred with a fundamental understanding of the levels of education through understanding the institutional goals and intermediate goals, with the benefit of the institution by determining the basic goal of its existence, in addition to understanding the areas of learning, including the psychomotor field and the emotional field.
The speakers also highlighted its most prominent advantages by providing guidance to both teachers and students and helping design appropriate assessment tools by providing the future professional profile for learners while providing an easy environment for the learner. Among its disadvantages is that they can give a completely wrong direction to learning if they are not appropriately prepared and discourage their creativity.
