University of Diyala/ College of Medicine holds a scientific symposium entitled (For bacterial isolates preservation methods)
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine in University of Diyala, Professor Dr. Ismail Ibrahim Latif, the Medical Education Division held a scientific symposium entitled (For bacterial isolates preservation methods), prepared by Prof. Dr. Burooj Muhammad Razouki, Assistant Prof. Dr. Anfal Shakir Motib, Lecturer Dr. Adnan Yas Khudair, and Assistant lecturer Raghad Hamid Khalifa from Department of Microbiology. It included a detailed explanation of the most important methods of preserving bacterial samples, short- and long-term, in a glycerol solution at a concentration of up to 40% and at a temperature of -20°C. In conclusion, it was shown the importance of preservation methods in helping researchers to complete research over a long period while bacterial isolates remain fully viable, in addition to the role of preservation methods in enhancing the research aspect of the work effectively and significantly.
