In a Landmark Step: Diyala College of Medicine Opens and Develops New Classrooms

The Dean of the Diyala College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Ismail Ibrahim Latif, in the presence of the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Iyad Latif Jassim, and his colleagues from the Student Affairs Department at the University of Diyala, along with several faculty members, inaugurated the newly developed classrooms. This initiative aims to accommodate the increasing number of students, with a capacity of 240 students this year and a plan to expand to 340 students next year. These efforts align with the college’s vision to achieve academic excellence by enhancing the educational environment and improving the quality of education.
The Dean of the College stated that the new classrooms are equipped with modern facilities, including advanced educational technologies such as computers and smart devices. This marks a significant step toward supporting in-person electronic examinations, facilitating the exam process, and enhancing the student experience.
At the conclusion of the inauguration, the Student Affairs Committee at the University of Diyala expressed its appreciation for the exceptional efforts made by the Dean, faculty, and staff in developing the educational infrastructure. Their work continued throughout the week and even during official holidays.
The committee also praised the modern equipment introduced into the new classrooms, emphasizing that these advanced educational technologies will enhance the quality of education and provide an ideal learning environment for students.
