Editor-in-Chief of Diyala Medical Journal Participates in Evaluating Nineveh College of Medicine for Accreditation

Diyala Medical Journal presented the participation of its Editor-in-Chief, Assistant Professor Dr. Enfal Shaker Mutab, in the process of evaluating the College of Medicine at the University of Nineveh to obtain accreditation, as part of the team of national evaluators tasked with evaluating the eligibility of the academic program to obtain programmatic accreditation by the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq. This participation comes within the framework of enhancing the quality of medical education and scientific research, as the college seeks to achieve international standards in medical education.
The evaluation process includes a comprehensive review of academic and research programs, as well as an assessment of the available infrastructure and resources, and various academic and administrative aspects, including curricula, the educational environment, the quality of scientific and clinical training, and the available resources to ensure that the academic program is consistent with accreditation requirements and achieves modern medical education standards. This step is considered important to ensure the provision of distinguished medical education that contributes to the development of medical cadres in the country.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine stressed the importance of accreditation as a means of improving the quality of education and enhancing confidence in educational institutions. Everyone is looking forward to the results of this evaluation, which will contribute to raising the level of medical education in Iraq.
