Diyala College of Medicine Organizes Online Competitive Examination for Postgraduate Applicants for the 2025–2026 Academic Year

On Monday morning, June 30, 2025, the College of Medicine at the University of Diyala organized an online competitive examination for students applying to postgraduate programs (Master’s) for the 2025–2026 academic year. The examination was conducted under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Ismail Ibrahim Latif, and with the supervision of the Postgraduate Studies Committee and the relevant examination and technical committees.
The examination saw the participation of a number of applicants who underwent an online scientific test conducted in-person within the college halls. The examination was carefully organized and conducted in accordance with comprehensive technical procedures, providing a model examination environment that ensures integrity and equal opportunities for all applicants.
The examination was followed by personal interviews with applicants by the relevant scientific committees, with the aim of assessing their academic and research capabilities and backgrounds, as part of the admission requirements for postgraduate programs. During his inspection tour, the Dean of the College praised the smooth running of the examination procedures, emphasizing the College’s commitment to implementing the scientific and technical standards approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He noted that this type of examination reflects the trend toward digital transformation in higher education and enhancing transparency in admissions processes.
This step comes within the framework of the College’s ongoing efforts to advance graduate programs and prepare qualified research cadres who can effectively contribute to the development of the medical and health sector in Iraq.
