The College of Medicine at University of Diyala hold a scientific symposium on the examining the skin using the Dermatoscopy also known as dermoscopy presented by Dr. Yasser Abdullah Khamis on the Hall 2 and organized by continuing education unit. Dermatoscope is a tool similar to a camera to allow for examination of skin lesions unobstructed by skin surface reflections. The device also gives accurate details about hair diseases, skin cancer practitioners in distinguishing benign from malignant (cancerous) lesions, especially in the diagnosis of melanoma. Which helps the dermatologist in accurate clinical diagnosis and follow-up of diseases after using medical treatments.
