Diyala College of Medicine Council Holds Eleventh Open Session for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

The eleventh open session of the College of Medicine Council was held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Ismail Ibrahim Latif. The session was attended by the heads of the academic departments.
The session discussed several important topics, most notably a review of the college’s needs for certain medical programs and specialties to meet the actual needs of the college’s structure. The required specialties were selected, and those included in the appointments were distributed among the college’s staff from among the top twenty students graduating from the 2023-2024 academic year, in accordance with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s circular.
Emphasis was also given to providing all necessary requirements for final exams and ensuring a suitable environment for students during the current exam period. Student issues submitted by student representatives regarding academic support and student services were also discussed.
