Diyala College of Medicine Holds Scientific Symposium on Biometric Registration, Awareness Project

Under the supervision of the Dean of the Diyala College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Ismail Ibrahim Latif, the Diyala College of Medicine, in cooperation with the Diyala Governorate Election Commission, organized a scientific symposium entitled “Biometric Registration, Awareness Project” on Monday, May 19, 2025. The symposium was attended by the dean’s assistants for academic and administrative affairs, a number of faculty members, staff, students, and those concerned with election issues.
The symposium focused on the importance of updating voter data in enhancing democratic participation and ensuring the integrity of the electoral process. The necessary steps to update this data were reviewed, as well as how to use modern technology to facilitate the process. The symposium also addressed the role of youth in actively participating in the political process and the importance of awareness of the need to update data to ensure their rights as citizens.
The symposium included open discussion sessions, where participants expressed their opinions and questions on how to update voter data, with the aim of enhancing electoral awareness and effective participation among students and the community.
