The College Of Medicine Holds An Awareness Campaign Against Breast Cancer

The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit and the Student Activities Division at the College of Medicine, in cooperation with the Health Promotion Division in the Diyala Health Department and with the participation of students from the College of Medicine, held the second phase of an awareness campaign against breast cancer in the College of Islamic Sciences.
The campaign’s activities included holding a scientific symposium on the causes and health methods for treating and preventing it and organizing a training workshop for female students on self-examining since early detection is one of the most important reasons for treating the disease effectively.
The campaign initiated the distribution of scientific and awareness brochures to all members and students of the college. In conclusion, the campaign was distinguished because it was held during International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the College of Medicine is keen on continuing awareness through its educational campaigns in various university formations every year.
