College of Medicine/ University of Diyala hosted a scientific symposium with the topic “Orthodontics: types, steps, and benefits.”

The scientific symposium “Orthodontics: types, steps, benefits” was organized by the Continuing Education Division and took place at the University of Diyala under the guidance of Professor Dr. Ismail Ibrahim Latif, Dean of the College of Medicine. On Sunday, November 12, 2023, Lecturer Manar Abdel Razzaq Hassan, the head of Quality Assurance department, conducted the symposium.Through the use of images of clinical cases—both before and after braces—the symposium aimed to provide a thorough explanation of teeth straightening, including the different types and steps involved as well as the differences between using fixed and removable braces. It also aimed to prevent cases of failure in order to achieve the necessary results. The symposium closed with a discussion time and an opportunity for participants to ask any questions they had.
