A faculty member from the College of Medicine at Diyala University participated in a specialized clinical immunology training program in London

Professor Dr. Areej Attia Hussein, a faculty member at the College of Medicine, University of Diyala, participated in an advanced training program organized by the British Society for Immunology in collaboration with the Society for Clinical Pathology at the Royal Free Hospital in London.
The program included a theoretical component covering the latest developments in immunodeficiency diseases, their causes, and their global prevalence. It also discussed the role of viral infections in the development of these disorders. The program further included a practical component focusing on the diagnosis of immunodeficiency diseases using advanced blood tests, genetic analyses, and pathological examinations that reveal key tissue changes. It also incorporated the use of radiology techniques and MRI reports to detect complex cases.
The participation provided a valuable opportunity to interact with leading researchers and physicians from international universities and training centers, contributing to the exchange of expertise and discussions on the latest scientific approaches to diagnosing and treating immunodeficiency diseases. The College of Medicine at Diyala University affirms that the participation of its faculty members in such international programs reflects its keenness to raise the academic and clinical level, and to promote scientific openness in line with global standards for medical education.
